Ian Montgomery used to take me out to jazz concerts around town before heading off to Vancouver Island University in Nanaimo BC to study it himself. He is a talented drummer, electronic musician, and teacher. As one of his bandmates once astutely pointed out: Ian is the Master of Subtlety.
